Binghamton University will host a variety of Summer Sports Camps during the summer of 2008. With the exception of the Junior Bearcat Club Summer Fun Camp, each camp runs independent of the University. All camps are conducted on the BU campus with its modern first-rate facilities.

Rising Stars - Advanced Training Camp:

Brief Description: This is a high intensity camp for committed players who are looking to elevate their level of play at the junior varsity/varsity level
or have aspirations of playing at the collegiate level. The Binghamton University Coaching staff as well as other local high school/college coaches will
take you through drills that they use in their own practice. This camp gives players a chance to focus on individual skills that will help take them to
the next level. Positional break downs, individual competition, fast break league and full court games are all part of the weeks experience.
Rising Stars - Fundamentals Camp:

Brief Description: The Rising Stars Fundamentals Camp will provide intense, specialized basketball instruction with an emphasis on the fundamentals of basketball (ball handling, passing, shooting, offensive and defensive positions, as well as the mental side of the game). All campers are grouped according to age and skill levels. Individual competition, 3 on 3 and full court games are all part of the weeks experience.
Our staff, which includes the Binghamton University coaching staff, players and area high school coaches, will help develop solid basketball skills in a fun, yet intense atmosphere.
Open swim will be available Monday through Thursday from 12:00-12:30pm.

Brief Description:The Binghamton Ultimate Tennis Camp is a wonderful opportunity for boys and girls ages 8-17 to learn tennis from a top collegiate coach.
Coach Mike Stevens brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the court. The BU Tennis camp will provide instruction for beginners, intermediate, and
advanced/tournament level players. Campers will be grouped according to their level of play and our 6:1 camper to counselor ratio assures proper supervision
and teaching effectiveness.
Camp Goals:The camp will focus on correct grips for each shot, strokes, strategy and positioning for match play, and footwork. Proper stretching, warm ups,
and conditioning will be practiced each day along with consistency drills. We want to make sure that each camper leaves having a complete understanding of the
game and wanting to play more of this life time sport.
