+ Tutoring in the Student-Athlete Success Center is one on one and request based.
+ All of our tutors are at least second semester sophomores with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have at least a B+ in the courses that they tutor.
Student-Athletes can request a tutor online at:
Requests for a tutor will be processed within 24 business hours; excluding the first week of classes as tutors will not be assigned until at least the second week.
Student-Athletes will receive an email indicating the name of their tutor as well as the tutors contact information. It is the student’s responsibility to contact their tutor and set up tutoring sessions.
If for some reason the SASC does not have a tutor for a particular subject. The student-athlete will receive an email notifying them of this, and they will be encouraged to request a tutor through CIW (http://www2.binghamton.edu/clt/tutoring.html).
Student-Athletes are encouraged to meet with their tutor on a regular and consistent basis (i.e. weekly, biweekly, etc…).
Student-Athletes can use tutoring sessions toward the fulfillment of their mandatory study hall hours.
Please contact the Tutorial Coordinator with any questions or problems that you have regarding the SASC tutoring program.
