Holiday Meals

Teams outside Declared Playing Season: Occasional Meal rules apply for any institutional staff member or booster who wishes to provide a student-athlete or an entire team with a holiday meal. This includes team holiday parties. Please ensure that an Occasional Meal Request Form (available on the s: drive) is completed and submitted to the Office of Compliance PRIOR to the meal taking place.

Teams within Declared Playing Season (Men’s and Women’s Basketball): Institutions may provide meals to all student-athletes required to stay on campus for practice or competition during Binghamton University’s official vacation periods.  If a meal is not provided, a cash allowance may be provided (except for the permissible additional meal), and may not exceed the amount provided by the institution to institutional staff members on away-from-campus trips.  A team may also provide an additional meal (not cash) to meet nutritional needs during each day of the vacation period, provided the student-athlete is required to remain on campus for practice or competition.
