MID-YEAR ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATION
To be eligible for competition during any given semester, a student-athlete must have successfully completed a minimum of 6 semester hours of credit towards a degree during the previous semester. To meet this regulation, student-athletes with undeclared majors may take classes that meet the requirements of any major offered by the university during their first two years of attendance. By the beginning of the third year, student-athletes must declare a major and subsequently pass at least six semester hours of credit toward their specific degree. Students are also responsible for maintaining a required cumulative GPA, depending on the number of semesters the student-athlete has been enrolled. Please contact the Office of NCAA Compliance with any questions.
Any new student-athlete enrolling at Binghamton University in January must complete eligibility paperwork and be cleared by Sports Medicine PRIOR to participating in any countable activities.
