VESTAL, N.Y.—Binghamton senior men’s tennis player Alexandre Haggai has been named the America East Player of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Haggai went a combined 6-0 in singles and doubles to lead the Bearcats to three shutout wins during the week, including lopsided victories over conference rivals Stony Brook and Hartford.

With his three doubles wins, Haggai moved to within one victory of tying the school record for career wins (72). He also has 71 career singles wins.

Haggai and the Bearcats are headed to the U.S. National Tennis Center this weekend in search of the program’s fifth consecutive America East title and NCAA berth.
