Vestal, NY— Sophomore midfielder Michael Antinozzi was announced as Player of the Week by the America East conference late Monday afternoon. Antinozzi, who leads the team and conference with 10 goals, combined to score seven goals over a two-game stretch this past week. His 3.33 goals per game ranks him seventh best in the nation.

This past Tuesday, the Maryland native kept Binghamton alive in a highly contested game against #3 ranked Cornell with a career-best four goal effort. Antinozzi continued his strong play once again on the road with his third consecutive hat trick of the season at Hobart. Antinozzi also added career-highs of four ground balls and three caused turnovers in the losing effort against the Statesmen.

The program record for consecutive hat tricks is owned by Phil Cavallo, who recorded four hat tricks in a row to start the 2004 season. Antinozzi looks to tie that record this Saturday as the Bearcats host Siena for a 1 pm start at the Bearcats Sports Complex in Vestal, NY.
