VESTAL, N.Y.—The Binghamton baseball team, which won the America East title last year, returns to defend its crown later this week at UMass Lowell. Before departing campus, the Bearcats held their annual America East Tournament Media Day on Tuesday afternoon.

Binghamton is the No. 3 seed in the four-team event and will face No. 2 Hartford in the opening round on Thursday at 6 p.m. Stony Brook, the top seed, will face No. 4 Maine in the tournament’s opening game at 2 p.m. from LeLacheur Park.

The America East will host a Google+ Hangout on Wednesday, May 21 at 5 p.m. with members of each of the participating schools in the 2014 Baseball Championship! Tune in to preview the championship and see what the student-athletes have to say. Have a question for one of the players? Submit it to us on Twitter (@AmericaEast) using the hashtag #AEChamps. Senior captains Bill Bereszniewicz, Shaun McGraw and junior ace Jack Rogalla will be representing Binghamton.
