Binghamton track & field competes at Cornell Open
Bearcats record three individual victories at non-scoring meet

ITHACA, N.Y.—Senior Cazal Arnett, junior Kaitlin Sullivan and freshman Camille Ginyard all recorded first-place finishes, highlighting the Binghamton track & field teams’ performances at the Cornell Outdoor Open on Saturday. There was no team scoring kept at the meet.
Arnett, who has won two of the last three America East Conference outdoor titles in the 400, clocked a winning time of 47.63 on Saturday. He was followed in third place by sophomore Dustin Ross (49.17).
Sullivan took top honors in the women’s 100 hurdles (14.72) and also placed second in the 400 hurdles (1:04.67). Ginyard and sophomore Jenna Marrione took the top two spots in the pole vault, each clearing 11-7 3/4.
Other runner-up performances on the men’s side were turned in by junior Jesse Fuca in the 400 hurdles (55.17) and junior Colin Anderson in the hammer (159-6). Sophomore Jessica Hennig was second in the women’s 400 (56.68).
Sophomore Jeff Martinez finished third in the men’s 1,500 (3:54,55).
Binghamton heads to the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic next Friday and Saturday.
NOTE: Arnett’s performance also broke the Cornell facility record set by Buffalo’s Ezekiel Porter (47.84).
