VESTAL, N.Y.—For the third consecutive year, the Binghamton women’s basketball team opens up its season against St. Bonaventure. The Bearcats begin their 13-game non-conference schedule with a road game against the Bonnies on Friday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m.

The Bonnies are coming off back-to-back 20-win seasons and a pair of trips to the WNIT. Unlike the past two seasons, St. Bonaventure will be without assistant coach Sarah Cartmill, who has rejoined the Bearcats in a similar position eight years after graduating as their second-leading all-time scorer.

Binghamton’s home opener comes on Nov. 17 versus Canisius at the Events Center. Other non-conference home games are against Army (Dec. 1), Siena (Dec. 7) and Cornell (Jan. 3).

The Bearcats take part in a pair of in-season tournaments this season. After heading to the Northern Arizona Tournament Nov. 26-27, the squad travels to the Monmouth Tournament Dec. 29-30.

Also on the road, Binghamton faces first-team opponents Rider (Nov. 20), UMass (Dec. 10) and Mt. St. Mary’s (Dec. 18). In addition, the Bearcats will be at Lehigh Dec. 4.

The 16-game America East portion of BU’s 2010-11 schedule will be released by the conference in late September. It will consist of home-and-home dates with each of the other eight league members beginning in early January and concluding at the end of February. Hartford will again host the America East Championship on March 3-6.

Season ticket prices for the upcoming 2010-11 season will remain the same for the fourth straight season; the combo (men’s and women’s) package for $185, men’s games for $150, and women’s games for $70. The Binghamton University Athletic Department is currently accepting deposits for new season ticket holders who would like to be added to the ticket list for the upcoming season.

The non-refundable deposit is $25.00 per season ticket and can be paid by cash, check or credit card. Please contact Erin Moore at 777-3741 or visit www.bubearcats.com. Once again, a payment plan allowing season ticket holders to pay for their season tickets in monthly installments will be offered.
