VESTAL, N.Y.—Binghamton men’s basketball coach Tommy Dempsey will participate in a coaching clinic to benefit the Coaches vs. Cancer program through the American Cancer Society, September 22 at Albany’s SEFCU Arena. The event, hosted by Albany head coach Will Brown, will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Joining Dempsey and Brown will be Hartford head coach John Gallagher, Siena head coach Jimmy Patsos, Colgate head coach Matt Langel and Boston University head coach Joe Jones.
“I know all the coaches are looking forward to a great day of talking basketball for a great cause,” Dempsey said.
The Coaches vs. Cancer program is a partnership between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches to “increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living among students, faculty and staff, fans and the community at large.” The initiative has raised more than $87 million for the American Cancer Society.
Registration for the clinic is now open with an entry fee of $25. All proceeds benefit the Coaches vs. Cancer initiative. Day-of registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
