WEST HARTFORD, Conn.—Binghamton freshman forward Ben Dickinson has been voted to the America East All-Rookie Team, the conference announced Friday evening at an awards reception in Hartford.

He hit for three double-doubles during the season and was BU’s leading scorer in 14 games and the team’s rebound leader in 18 games. Dickinson broke the program’s freshman scoring record previously held by Lazar Trifunovic (315 pts. in 2006-07) and currently has 385 points. He is eight rebounds away from claiming the rookie rebound record at Binghamton, sitting currently on 181.
He produced a game-high 21 points and team-high nine rebounds in BU’s thrilling 73-67 win over UMBC in the America East tournament first round Thursday night at Chase Family Arena. In that game, Dickinson added five assists and a pair of blocks in 43 minutes.
He ranks eighth in the conference in rebounding (first among freshmen) and 11th in scoring (second among freshmen).
