SPRINGDALE, Ark.—Former Binghamton pitching ace Murphy Smith made the most of his second Double-A Texas League all-star appearance on Tuesday, tossing two scoreless innings of relief in the South Division’s 6-0 win over the North at Arvest Ballpark.
Smith allowed one hit and struck out one in the longest stint of any South pitcher.
He has six wins and a 2.79 ERA in 90.1 innings this spring. In 14 starts for the Midland RockHounds, Smith’s ERA is an impressive 2.41.
