Golf Places Third At Binghamton Invitational
Final round play suspended on Monday, Bearcats nab fourth straight top-5 finish

Apalachin, N.Y.—- Due to rain, play was cancelled for the final round of the Binghamton Invitational out at the Links at Hiawatha Landing in Apalachin on Monday. After finishing a portion of play in the morning, the tournament was suspended for over two hours and later was called off after an attempt to finish up the round.
All scores in the second round were thrown out, shortening the event to 18 holes. The Bearcats came away with a third place team finish as Laval University claimed the title for the second straight year with a score of 276 (-12). BU compiled a team score of 283 (-5), their second lowest round of the 2013 fall campaign.
Senior Bryce Edmister’s 70 (-2) on Sunday gives him his fourth straight top-5 individual finish. Edmister finished tied for fifth with Hunter Sagar of Canisius. Just behind Edmister were a trio of BU players; including Kyle Wambold, Josh Holling and Jack Sedgewick who all carded a 71 yesterday. All three players tied for seventh place out of 71 individuals. Sophomore Cal Addy finished 45th in his first collegiate action, shooting a 77 as an individual entry.
Binghamton will tee it up next this weekend at the Temple Invitational the dates of Oct. 12-13.
