Vero Beach, Fla.—Binghamton makes the trip to Vero Beach Fla. this weekend to play in the Quail Valley Intercollegiate hosted by McNeese State. The 54-hole tournament begins on Monday, Oct. 28 and finishes on Tuesday afternoon from the Quail Valley Golf Club.
Including Binghamton, nine teams are scheduled to compete in the field at Vero Beach. The par 72 Quail Valley GC is playing nearly 7,400 yards, something that bodes well for the traveling Bearcats who carry it long off the tee.
BU has enjoyed a successful fall season thus far, complete with four top-5 team finishes and a victory at the Colgate Invitational back on Sept. 8. The Bearcats last played at the Temple Invitational just over two weeks ago, securing a seventh place finish out of a large field of 17 teams. Junior Jack Sedgewick recorded his best finish of the fall, claiming the sixth-best score in the field of 93 players. The Ontario native carded a 143 (+3).
The event will be a shotgun start on Monday, with teams playing 36 holes beginning at 8:30 a.m.. On Tuesday, teams will start their final round (once again shotgun start) at 9 a.m..
