Sarah Miller has standout week for Brewer (TX) High School

VESTAL, N.Y. – While Binghamton is preparing to begin play in the America East Softball Tournament, one of its future players is also making news. Sarah Miller, a senior pitcher for Brewer (TX) High School, has been named one of five NFCA High School Players of the Week. She is the representative from the South Central Region.
Miller put up a 3-1 pitching record for the Bears with a 1.33 ERA and 19 strikeouts over 26.1 innings. At the plate, she went 10-for-14 (.714) with three home runs and 10 RBI over the four games. Overall in 2014, Miller is batting .381 with 20 extra-base hits and 37 RBIs in addition to a 20-7 pitching mark with a 1.33 ERA and 179 strikeouts in 189.2 innings.
Miller was one of five high school seniors to sign a National Letter of Intent with Binghamton in the fall. She is a two-time all-district and three-time academic all-district selection.
