Keegan, Manscuk honored by United Soccer League’s PDL
Keegan named All-PDL and All-Conference, Manscuk tabbed All-Conference

VESTAL, N.Y.—Junior forward Jake Keegan and former back Kyle Manscuk have both been honored by the United Soccer League’s Premier Development League (PDL) for their play during the 2011 season. Keegan, who competed for the Westchester Flames, was named both All-Eastern Conference and All-PDL. Manscuk, meanwhile, competed for the Ottawa Fury was also named All-Eastern Conference.
Keegan was one of just 11 players from the 64 competing teams to earn All-PDL honors. He emerged as the league’s goal scoring champion, with 16 goals in 16 games. His top performance was a four-goal outburst against the Brooklyn Knights on May 28.
The PDL’s Eastern Conference consists of 20 teams. Keegan and Manscuk were two of the 11 players named to its all-star squad. In addition, they were the only players from their respective teams to earn all-conference accolades.
Keegan returns to Binghamton next week to begin his junior campaign. In his first two seasons, he scored 10 goals for the Bearcats and was named second-team all-conference in 2009. Manscuk, meanwhile, graduated in May after earning first-team all-conference and first-team All-Northeast Region honors as a senior.
Binghamton kicks off its 2011 schedule at Bucknell on August 26 at 7 p.m.
NOTE: 2011 was the first season in the PDL for Keegan and Manscuk.
