Coach Macon and Coach Scholl interviews

WET HARTFORD, Conn.—The America East held its annual Basketball Media Day at the Connecticut State Capitol on Thursday and the conference released its Coaches’ Preseason Poll and Preseason All-Conference Team.  Having lost its top three scorers and four veteran leaders to graduation, the Bearcats were picked to finish last in the nine-team league.

Head coach Mark Macon, entering his third season at the helm, welcomes nine newcomers to the program and returns starting junior point guard Jimmy Gray (8.1 ppg. in AE play) and 6-foot-10 senior center Kyrie Sutton, who ranked in the top-10 in blocks and top-20 in rebounding.

Binghamton begins its first official practice Friday evening and then hosts Mansfield in an exhibition game on November 7.  The season-opener against Colgate is set for November 12 at the Events Center.
