Golf Climbs Three Spots To Claim Fifth Place at Fireline Towson Invite
Fiedler finishes 14th out of 120 individuals

GRASONVILLE, Md. - Binghamton shot a third round best team score of 289 (+1) Sunday morning during the final round of the Fireline Towson Invitational at Prospect Bay GC. Entering Sunday, the Bearcats sat in eight place, but jumped three spots to claim their fourth top-5 finish and their second consecutive this spring season. Seton Hall defeated America Sky member Northern Colorado in a one-hole playoff to take the tournament team crown.
Senior Trevor Fiedler finished up Sunday with a final round score of 73 that included birdies on three of the four par fives on the eastern Maryland shore course. With a 54-hole total of 219 (+3), the fifth year senior captured a tie for 14th place with one other competitor. Fiedler shot a tournament best six-under par on par fives and tallied a team-best nine birdies over the weekend.
Sophomore Bryce Edmister fired a 69 (-3) that featured a two under par back nine which concluded with a birdie on the par-five 18th hole. Edmister joined Fiedler in the top-20 (T-19), earning his fourth top-20 finish of the season and seventh during his young BU career.
BU returns to action next Monday when they head to Columbia, Missouri to partake in the Mizzou Intercollegiate. The Bearcats are one top-5 team finish away from tying last season’s program record of five in one season.
