Men’s soccer inks defender from Denmark

Christian Dam

Previous release on incoming class

VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton men’s soccer program has received a National Letter of Intent (NLI) from Christian Dam, a back from Egga, Denmark. He is the sixth player who will join the team as a freshman this coming fall.

Dam is currently playing with Aarhus U-19’s Team. The Aarhus program is known for having outstanding youth teams in Denmark.

“Christian is a terrific addition to our class, both on the field and in the classroom,” head coach Paul Marco said. “He can play as a center back or holding midfielder. Christian’s physical presence on the field and his technical abilities are what first drew our attention. After getting to know him more in the recruiting process, we felt that he would fit in well with our program.  He is another player who has a great attitude and competitive spirit.”

Earlier in the spring, the Bearcats announced that Isaiah Barrett, Justin Dragin, Jack Nelson, Ben Ovetsky and Zach Pogrob have also joined the program for the 2014 season.
