VESTAL, N.Y.—The Binghamton men’s soccer team returned to campus on Tuesday morning to start its two weeks of preseason training. The Bearcats have just over two weeks to prepare for their first game, at Colgate on August 24.
Head coach Paul Marco returns nine starters from the 2011 squad including second-team all-conference back Trey Jasenski. Also returning is senior forward Jake Keegan, who led the squad last year with seven goals, five assists and 19 total points. Sophomore midfielder Tucker Sandercock was named to the America East All-Rookie team in 2011.
On Tuesday, the returning players helped the freshmen move into their dorms in Mountain View. The first training session will be held on Wednesday.
