ITHACA, N.Y.—No. 24 Cornell (8-1) captured the doubles point and won all six singles matches to claim a 7-0 win over visiting Binghamton Sunday afternoon from the Reis Tennis Center.

The Bearcats (4-5) battled to force a third set in four singles matches but came up on the short end of each.

“It’s a bit disappointing,” head coach Adam Cohen said. “It was a strange match ... to have six 6-0 sets and be on the short end of four of them is odd. We had some momentum midway through singles when we won the second set at 3,4 and 6 ... but it quickly went the other way.”

Binghamton next faces Temple (March 9) and Penn (March 10) on the road.
