STONY BROOK, N.Y.—Binghamton men’s tennis flexed its lineup muscle again with a pair of shutout wins over two conference foes Saturday at Stony Brook’s University Courts. The Bearcats (13-11) beat the host Seawolves 7-0 before blanking Hartford 6-0.

Against rival Stony Brook, BU won two of three doubles matches against their America East foe to grab the opening point and then rattled off six singles wins to complete the team’s fifth straight victory. Binghamton then blanked Hartford 6-0 for the team’s eighth win in the its last 10 matches.

Binghamton will now await a likely No. 1 seed for the upcoming America East Championship, held next weekend at the U.S. National Tennis Center. There, BU will be seeking its fifth consecutive conference title and NCAA berth.
