PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Binghamton men’s tennis (2-2) won two of three matches over the weekend at Brown University. On Saturday, BU dropped a 7-0 result to the Ivy League host Browns. The Bearcats rebounded, however, and blanked Quinnipiac by the same 7-0 score. On Sunday, Binghamton finished out the road trip with a 7-0 win over Bryant.

“It was good to bounce back after getting roughed up by Brown on Saturday,” head coach Adam Cohen said. “We played better our next two matches and are looking forward to facing two nationally-ranked opponents (VCU and Maryland) next weekend.”

Senior No. 1 Alexandre Haggai won two of his three matches and nearly went undefeated for the weekend after holding a match point against Brown. Haggai won his matches over Quinnipiac and Bryant in straight sets.

Binghamton plays at VCU on Saturday and travels to Maryland for a Sunday match.
