FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.—No.4 Arkansas (12-2) stretched a 2-0 lead with two runs in the seventh inning and scored all four runs on solo home runs to push past visiting Binghamton (0-4) Friday afternoon from Baum Stadium.
Senior righty Mike Augliera pitched 6.0 strong innings, allowing two runs on four hits. Augliera (0-2), sporting a 2.25 earned run average in two starts, struck out four and walked one.
The Razorbacks plated single runs in the second and fifth innings before hitting back-to-back homers in the seventh to finish the scoring. Arkansas outhit BU 8-3 with sophomore shortstop John Howell, senior first baseman Dave Ciocchi and junior catcher Mike Danaher collecting one hit apiece.
The teams will play a twinbill Saturday beginning at 2 p.m. (ET).
