VESTAL, N.Y.—The Binghamton cross country program has announced the hiring of Eddie Novara as its assistant coach. He arrives from SUNY Geneseo, where he was a volunteer assistant coach at his alma mater in 2012.
During his undergraduate career, Novara was a three-time NCAA Division III Cross Country All-American. In addition, he set the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) record in the 10,000 during the 2012 outdoor track season.
“Eddie will make a great addition to our program at Binghamton,” head coach Annette Acuff said. “He is a very natural fit, coming from New York State as well as a similar academic institution in Geneseo.”
Binghamton opens its 2013 season by hosting the America East Pre-Conference meet on Sept. 7 at 11 a.m.
