Pair of Freshmen Compete at ITA Regionals

West Point, NY- Two freshmen representatives from the Binghamton women’s tennis team competed in the ITA Northeast Regionals held at West Point’s Lichtenberg Tennis Center this weekend. Beginning on Friday, freshman Alexis Tashiro was eliminated from singles play as she fell 6-3, 6-3 in the qualifying round of 32. Later in the day, Tashiro joined fellow freshman Agatha Ambrozy on the doubles court, but fell to Buffalo 8-5.

On Saturday, Ambrozy fell to Boston College senior Kelly Barry in straight sets 6-1, 6-3. The pair of losses concludes the fall competition for Binghamton, leaving their next competition to come in late January when they play Dartmouth (1/26) and America East foe Boston (1/27).
