Scranton, PA—Former Binghamton men’s lacrosse standout Tyler Perrelle has recently been elevated to interim head men’s lacrosse coach at Division III Marywood University. Perrelle, who graduated from Binghamton in 2013, served as an assistant coach with Marywood last season and led the Pacers to a runner-up finish in their conference, the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC).
Perrelle, a native of Mahopac, N.Y., was a four-year letterwinner for the Bearcats. His name is covered all over the Binghamton record books, including ranking tied for seventh in games played (56), seventh in goals (55), third in shots (295), third in points (110) and is tied for the program record in career assists with 55. He was named team MVP in 2012 and earned America East All-Rookie and All-Tournament team honors during his time at Binghamton.
As a senior in 2013, the talented midfielder earned a spot on the Tewaaraton Award Preseason Watch List, becoming just the second Binghamton player to receive such an honor. In addition, Perrelle served as team captain during his final season with the Bearcats and was selected to compete in the prestigious USILA/Laxworld North-South All-Star Game.
Upon graduating from Binghamton, Perrelle accepted a position as an assistant coach in Marywood’s men’s lacrosse program. He served under head coach Scott Dalgliesh and helped guide the Pacers to a 10-9 season overall. With his guidance, Marywood advanced to the CSAC final and clinched a berth into the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Region Tournament.
