Softball to play first games in new facility on Sunday, Sept. 22
Home tournament moved from Saturday due to impending rain

VESTAL, N.Y.—The Binghamton softball team has announced its home schedule, which includes a Sept. 22 home tournament at its new facility on campus. In addition, the Bearcats will take part in the BAGSAI Tournament the preceding weekend and host Buffalo on Sept. 29.
Construction of the new softball complex will conclude early next month, when Binghamton begins its fall workouts. On Sept. 22, the Bearcats first-ever home game at the facility will be against Herkimer CC on Sept. 22 at 11 a.m. At 3:30 p.m., Binghamton will face Rochester.
Once again, Binghamton will also be part of the BAGSAI Tournament, which will be held Sept. 15-16 at nearby Broome Community College. The Bearcats will play a pair of games each day. In past years, teams such as Syracuse and Colgate have taken part in the event.
In addition to its 11 a.m. doubleheader against Buffalo on Sept. 29, Binghamton will conclude the fall schedule by hosting its annual alumni game on Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. The alumni game will be part of Homecoming Weekend, which this year, will include the induction of former softball standout Charlene Cook into the Binghamton Athletic Hall of Fame.

Sun, Sept. 16: @ BAGSAI Tournament (hosted by Broome CC) Cornell (Noon), LeMoyne (2 p.m.)
Sat., Sept. 22: Home Tournament w/ Herkimer CC & Rochester (11 a.m./2 p.m.)
Sat., Sept. 29: Home Doubleheader vs. Buffalo (11 a.m.)
Sat., Oct. 13: Alumni Game (2 p.m.)
