VESTAL, N.Y.—With the 2014 regular season in the books, Binghamton (21-23) heads to the America East Softball Tournament for the third time in four seasons. The Bearcats will carry the No. 3 seed into the championship round and will begin play against No. 2 Albany on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. This year’s tournament is being hosted by top-seeded Stony Brook.

Binghamton placed third at both the 2011 and 2013 America East Tournaments. The Bearcats were seeded second last year but hosted the event after top-seeded Albany deferred.

On Tuesday afternoon, head coach Michelle Burrell and selected players met with the local media. Binghamton heads to Stony Brook first thing Wednesday morning.

On Wednesday night, the America East Conference will unveil its 2014 All-Conference Teams.
