Radford, meanwhile, broke up a scorless tie in the bottom of the sixth inning of the second game on a RBI single by Jessie Hutchens. Binghamton then went down in order in the top of the seventh inning.

Highlander starting pitcher Emily Norton went the distance, allowing only one hit and striking out six batters without issuing a walk. Her record is now 1-3 while junior pitcher Kate Price falls to 1-1 with the loss.

Binghamton begins conference play next Saturday with a 1 p.m. doubleheader at Boston University. The two team will then finish their doubleheader with a single game at noon on Sunday.
