Track & field competes in pair of meets

VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton track & field teams continued their seasons with a pair of meets, both of which started on Friday evening and continued through Saturday. There was no team scoring at either meet.

At the Penn State National Open, sophomore Jon King was seventh overall in the high jump with an IC4A-qualifying height of 6-8 ¼. It is the best performance turned in by a Binghamton rookie. King is a freshman eligibility-wise.

In Boston, meanwhile, the Bearcats competed at the Terrier Classic. On the men’s side, freshman Temi Bajulaiye was ninth in the 500 (1:04.53). Junior Erika Kisel was ninth in the women’s 500 (1:16.39).

Up next for Binghamton is the Sykes-Sabock Challenge this coming Saturday. The meet will also be hosted by Penn State.
