Track & Field takes part in Sykes-Sabock Challenge

STATE COLLEGE, Pa.—Senior Jessica Hennig hit the ECAC qualifying mark in two events, highlighting Binghamton’s performance at the Sykes-Sabock Indoor Track Challenge on Saturday. The meet, which was hosted by Penn State, did not include team scoring.

Hennig was fourth in the 400 with a time of 55.73. She also joined juniors Erika Kisel and Kathleen Klein as well as sophomore Ivory Taussig to record a time of 3:51.04 in the 4x400 relay. The quartet placed fourth overall.

On the men’s side, senior Jeff Martinez was fourth in the 3,000 (8:30.84) while fellow senior Jason Santos was third in the 5,000 (14:57.88).

Up next for Binghamton is the America East Indoor Meet, which will be held at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston Feb. 11-12.
