Track & field squads open outdoor season at Raleigh Relays
Women's sprint medley relay places sixth overall, Slaven seventh in men's pole vualt

The Binghamton track & field squads launched their 2012-13 outdoor campaign at the Raleigh Relays this past weekend. The two-day, non-scoring meet was hosted by North Carolina State.
In the women’s competition, Binghamton placed sixth overall in the sprint medley relay with a time of 4:04.85. The quartet included sophomore Ivory Taussig, juniors Erika Kisel and Kathleen Klein as well as senior Jessica Hennig.
On the men’s side, senior John Slaven was seventh in the pole vault (15-7).
Up next for the Bearcats is the Sam Howell Invitational April 5-6, which will be hosted by Princeton.
