Senior Kaitlin Sullivan broke her own school record in the women’s 60 hurdles, highlighting the Binghamton track & field teams’ performances at the Cornell Upstate Challenge on Saturday afternoon. There was no team scoring kept during the meet.
Sullivan has now broken her own school record in the 60 hurdles twice this season. After clocking a time of 8.90 at the season-opening Cornell Relays last month, she lowered the mark to 8.84 on Saturday and finished fourth overall in the event. Elsewhere on the women’s side, junior Ashley AuPont was second in the high jump (5-5).
Senior Colin Anderson was third in the men’s weight throw (53-8 1/2).
Next weekend is a pair of meets for Binghamton. Some runners will take part in the Penn State National Open while the rest of the teams will head to the Boston Terrier Classic. Both meets run from Jan. 27-28.
