Track & field squads compete in pair of meets
There was no team scoring at Penn Relays or Cornell Big Red Invitational

VESTAL, N.Y. – In the final weekend before hosting the America East Outdoor Championships, the Binghamton track & field teams took part at both Penn Relays and the Cornell Big Red Invitational. There was no team scoring at either meet.
At Penn Relays on Friday, senior John Slaven placed second in the Eastern Section Pole Vault with an IC4A-qualifying distance of 16-2 ¾. In the women’s College Section Triple Jump, meanwhile, junior Alexis Murray was fifth overall with an ECAC-qualifying performance of 40-6 ¼.
Murray was back in action on Sunday at the Cornell Big Red Invitational, where she was first in the triple jump (40-6 ¾).
The America East Outdoor Championships will be held Saturday and Sunday at the East Gym Complex. The first event starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday.
