Binghamton (3-1) takes on nearby Big East opponent Syracuse (4-0) in their seventh meeting in program history.
O’REILLY ON FIRE
Through 4 games this season, senior guard Orla O’Reilly has provided a much-needed scoring punch for the Bearcats. Averaging 18.4 points per game, O’Reilly has been efficient from three (13-of- 32) and has capitalized on getting to the foul line by shooting an incredible .917 from the free throw stripe.
The Bearcats’ 3-1 start is the best since the 2001-02 season when both current assistant coaches Sarah Cartmill and Leah Truncale led BU to a 19-9 record. Syracuse is off to an even more impressive start at 4-0, outscoring opponents by an average of 30.5 points per game.
SHARING THE WEALTH
The Bearcats are averaging an even 13 assists per game, which currently ranks second in the America East conference. Seniors Andrea Holmes and Viive Rebane both lead BU with 3.3 assists
Both Syracuse and Binghamton have stifled opponents on the offensive end. SU hasn’t allowed a team to reach the 60 point mark, while Binghamton on average only allows 57.5 points per contest.
