VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton women’s basketball team has received a National Letter of Intent (NLI) from Jasmine Sina (Lake Hopatcong, N.J.), a point guard from the Gill St. Bernard School. She is the first player signed by new head coach Linda Cimino since she accepted the position earlier this month.
Sina was named All-Somerset County after averaging 13.8 points, 7.3 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game in leading Gill St.-Bernard to a 26-4 record and an appearance in the South Jersey Non-Public B tournament this past season. She concluded her career with 1,292 points and had a four-year record of 102-16.
“Jasmine is a winner,” Cimino said. “She is a very smart player and is a true leader out on the floor. Although she is only 5-5, her basketball IQ more than makes up for her lack of size.”
