Women’s Cross Country Places Fifth at CCSU Mini Meet

Alexis Hatcher finished a team-best 11th at the CCSU Mini Meet

HAMPDEN, Conn – Sophomore Alexis Hatcher was 11th overall, highlighting the Binghamton women’s cross country team’s performance on Friday afternoon at the Central Connecticut State Mini Meet. The Bearcats were fifth out of 16 teams at the meet.

Hatcher covered the women’s 3,000-meter course in a time of 10:22. Senior Caitlin Jelinek was 16th (10:26), freshman Alana MacDonald was 28th (10:37), sophomore Lizzie Greiner was 31st (10:40) and freshman Eileen O’Hara was 52nd (10:56).

Eimear Black of Bryant won the 137-runner event with a time of 9:47.00. Providence, meanwhile, capture the team title.

Up next for Binghamton is the America East Championship, which will be run on the Bearcats’ home course Nov. 2 starting at 11 a.m.
