VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton women’s lacrosse program is holding its Second Annual Four-on-Four Bearcat Cup and Girl’s Lacrosse Clinic on Sunday, October 21. Head coach Tony Zostant and his staff of Stephanie Allen and Ben Paige is welcoming all high school aged players to register.
The Bearcat Cup includes a skills clinic introducing advanced techniques and game tactics as well as on-going instruction while the participants play. The day-long camp provides an excellent opportunity for players to experience Binghamton University and its state-of-the-art facilities, learn from Division I student-athletes and coaches and have a fun-filled day of lacrosse.
Last year, the Binghamton coaching staff instructed over 50 high school players from all over New York, including Long Island, Albany, Syracuse and Rochester. Participants are given hands-on instruction during the morning session before breaking off into teams in the afternoon for round-robin and tournament play.
The clinic runs from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. with members of the Binghamton women’s lacrosse team assisting the participants throughout the day. Current Bearcat players are available to give insight into the game of lacrosse, what it takes to play at the Division I level and the college experience in general.
To register, please fill out the registration form (which is linked above) and mail or fax back to the Binghamton athletics department. Players may send in registration forms with their team or individually, no coach is necessary. All participants must submit a completed application and medical form. Forms should be faxed back to (607) 777-7397. Registration forms must be completed and returned by October 12.
