VESTAL, N.Y.—Binghamton women’s soccer was recently recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) with a Team Academic Award for the 2010-11 academic year. The award is given to teams that produce a 3.0 or higher team grade-point average for the year. The Bearcats maintained a 3.17 GPA to earn the honors for the ninth time in the last 10 years.
“This is a great team recognition,” head coach Sarah McClellan said. “I’m proud of our players and the academic commitment this demonstrates.”
During the 2010-11 year, a program-best 19 players were named to the America East Honor Roll for a 3.0 or higher GPA.
