VESTAL, N.Y.—Binghamton women’s soccer has signed seven scholastic players who will join the program for the 2012 season, head coach Sarah McClellan announced. The seven join a surging BU program that advanced to the America East semifinals for the sixth time in the last eight years before being edged by 14th-ranked Boston University 2-1. McClellan returns 25 players (13 underclassmen) from that ‘11 squad and is excited to infuse even more talent into the program.
Joining the Bearcats this fall will be Samantha Crane (Corning), Rebecca Raber (Bayport), Katie Corcoran (Fort Salonga), Stephani Church (Latham), Alyssa Vallar (Huntington Station), Genevieve Crescenzo (East Setauket), and Jacqueline Ehrenreich (Hartsdale).
“We are very excited to add such strong, quality student athletes; this group of players have a super work ethic, drive, and competitive spirit,” McClellan said. “They come from well-experienced club backgrounds and we know each will contribute to excellence on and off the field. The talent level of this class is extremely high; we are looking forward to their arrival on campus and joining our veterans.”

We are excited for her arrival to campus!”
Jacqueline Ehrenreich (F): A forward from Hartsdale and Edgemont High School… Varsity forward and leading scorer… Named All-League and All-Section as a senior… Two year member of Eastern NY ODP team… Plays club soccer for nationally ranked Albertson Elite Fury team… Led club team to two regional finalist performances… Team champions in WAGS, NEWSS and Disney Showcases as well as ECNL Final Four Finalists… Member of the National Society of High School Scholars.
McClellan on Ehrenreich: “Jako is a hard, strong competitor and great target forward. She is skilled on the ball and can fire a power shot. She is very good at combining with midfielders and forwards, but also has the capability of scoring a lot of goals at the collegiate level and has the drive and passion to work hard at the next level.”
With the influx of additional talent, McClellan is already eying another strong season in 2012.
