VESTAL, N.Y.—Binghamton women’s soccer hosted its 5th Annual Spring Alumni Event on May 5 and 19 former players returned to campus to participate, along with members of the current team.
Graduates traveled from Washington, D.C., New York City and from Canada. Most were part of the 2004 championship team and the oldest in attendance graduated in 2003.
“It means so much to our program and to our staff to be able to host our alumni back on campus,” head coach Sarah McClellan said. “This was our fifth year having the event and it was great to catch up with our alumni and hear about all the amazing things they are accomplishing. Our alumni set a great example to our current players of the big picture and being part of something that lasts much longer than four years.”
Some of their professions include successful surgeons, secret service agents, chemical engineers, teachers, social workers, guidance counselors, accountants, business representatives, environmental contractors, moms and coaches.
