Women’s Tennis Drops Opener To Dartmouth Saturday afternoon

Hanover, N.H.—Binghamton (0-1) fell in their season opener to Dartmouth (1-1) 7-0 Saturday afternoon from the Alexis Boss Tennis Center. The Big Green swept all nine matches, including six straight set victories in singles play.

All four freshman (Sara Kohtz, Agatha Ambrozy, Alexis Tashiro and Shea Brodsky) made their collegiate debuts for the Bearcats. Senior Jessie Rubin saw action for the first time since March of 2011; returning from a host of nagging injuries to make her season debut.

Binghamton returns to action Sunday when they take on the 22-time America East champions Boston University at 1 p.m.. The Bearcats have won two of the last three meetings with Boston.
