Women’s Tennis Bests NJIT 4-3 on Saturday

Newark, N.J.—The Binghamton women’s tennis team (3-6) clinched there third dual victory of the season with sophomore Agatha Ambrozy’s three-set victory over NJIT on Saturday. Ambrozy fought back from losing the first set 6-4, by reclaiming the match in strong fashion at 6-1, 6-2.

After falling behind 2-0, the Bearcats steamed back by winning four of the next five singles matches against NJIT. Freshman Annie DiMuro won her sixth straight match, defeating Melibeu 6-2, 6-2. Next up in the winners circle for BU was sophomore Sara Kohtz who claimed a straight set win at the second spot.

Sophomore Shea Brodsky picked up a 7-5,6-2 win. Brodsky also teamed up with Alexis Tashiro for an 8-3 win at second doubles.
