Women’s Tennis Falls on The Road To Richmond 5-0

Richmond, VA—Binghamton (3-11) lost on the road 5-0 to A-10 members Richmond (5-10) Wednesday afternoon at the Westhampton Tennis Courts. The Bearcats loss is their seventh straight.

The Spiders, who have won two straight dual matches, took the doubles point with impressive victories from the first and third spot. The freshmen duo of Shea Brodsky and Alexis Tashiro played their opponent at second doubles to a 6-6 tie, but did not finish their match.

Richmond won the ensuing four doubles matches to take the win. Both Tashiro and freshman Sara Kohtz were unable to finish their matches Wednesday.

Binghamton is set to host Fairleigh Dickinson on Wednesday, April 3 at 2 pm. This will be the first time they have competed on the newly renovated tennis courts on BU’s campus.
