Women’s Tennis Falls to Unbeaten Buffalo 6-1

Buffalo, N.Y.- Binghamton (3-6) lost to hosts Buffalo 6-1 Sunday afternoon at the Miller Tennis Center in Williamsville, N.Y.The Bulls improved to a perfect 6-0 in duals this season with the victory.

The Bearcats lost a pair of tough 8-6 doubles matches before winning a marathon battle at second doubles 8-7 (7-5). The freshmen duo of Shea Brodsky and Alexis Tashiro improved their doubles record together to 4-5 in dual competition.

Tashiro also shined on the singles court for Binghamton, earning the team’s lone point with a punctuating 6-1, 6-3 victory from the third spot. The Bulls won the remaining five matches in straight sets on their way to a 6-1 triumph.

BU heads to Massachusetts next weekend as they take on No. 74 Harvard (3/2) and UMASS (3/3).
