Women’s Tennis Loses 6-1 On The Road At Farleigh Dickinson

Teaneck, NJ— The short-handed Bearcats (5-9) fell on the road to Faleigh Dickinson (10-5) 6-1 Tuesday afternoon at the FDU Tennis Center in Teaneck, NJ. Senior Marina Bykovskaya earned Binghamton’s sole point on the afternoon, defeating FDU’s Julia Prantl in straight sets 6-3,7-6(7-2). The defeat is the first loss Binghamton has suffered against the Knights in five meetings.

BU returns to action in exactly one week when they travel south to Florida to take on the likes of Rollins, Barry, Florida Atlantic and Florida Gulf Coast over a stretch of six days. Their first match up will be against Rollins University (Division II) on Tuesday. Rollins is ranked 10th in the nation at the Division II level by the ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association).
