Wrestle-Offs signal start of season is drawing near

VESTAL, N.Y.—Binghamton wrestling held its annual Wrestle-Offs Saturday afternoon to help determine the starting lineup for the team’s season-opening dual, November 8 at Lehigh.

First-year head coach Matt Dernlan’s squad has been working hard in the practice room with a handful of weights up for grabs as the 2012-13 season draws near.

The results of the competition for starting spots at five weights are as follows:

125 Pounds: Patrick Hunter over David White, 2 matches to 1
133 Pounds: Dan Riggi over Dylan Cohen, 2 matches to 1
141 Pounds: Joe Bonaldi over Derak Heyman
165 Pounds: Vincent Grella over Adam Lepkowsky, 2 matches to 1
174 Pounds: Caleb Wallace over John Paris
