VESTAL, N.Y.—Binghamton wrestling (5-9) won two of three matches Saturday at the CAA Duals, hosted by George Mason at their Field House.
The Bearcats defeated Drexel (29-14) and the host Patriots (29-13) before losing to Rider (19-15) in the round-robin format, which will help determine the weight-class seeds for the CAA Championship in early March.
Seniors Donnie Vinson (149) and Nate Schiedel (197), each ranked No. 6 in the nation, remained unbeaten in duals by going 3-0 on the day.
Vinson is 24-1 overall, 14-0 in duals. He is 123-25 in his stellar career and with the three wins, moved into a tie for the program’s all-time wins record, set by Josh Patterson (123).
Schiedel notched two pins and a decision and is 21-2 overall, 14-0 in duals.
Also winning all three matches were Mike Sardo (125), Derek Steeley (131) and Tyler Deuel (Hwt.).
