Sports Complex Policies

Sports Complex
Ticket Sales
Tickets to Bearcat soccer/lacrosse games can be obtained on-line at or at the Events Center Box Office Monday-Friday from 12:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. or by phone at (607) 777-6004. Box office opens two hours prior to game times.

Alcoholic Beverages
Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited inside the Bearcats Sports Complex. Persons under 21 are prohibited from purchasing, possessing or consuming alcoholic beverages. Persons 21 and over are prohibited from possession of open containers and consuming alcoholic beverages except in rooms, suites, apartment, licensed dining facilities, or at registered events.

Banners and Signs
Fans may bring banners and signs to the games. They must be in good taste and must not obstruct the view of anyone in the stands or interfere with the play of the game.

Baxter the Bearcat
Baxter is the official mascot of the Bearcats. Baxter can be booked for your special event or charity function by calling Bev Watson at (607) 777-3500 or completing the Appearance Form available on line at

Bottles, Cans, Coolers, Food: no bottles, cans, coolers, or food items will be permitted in the Complex.

Fans are permitted to bring both still and video cameras into the Bearcats Sports Complex as long as they are not interfering with other fan’s view of the game. Be advised however, that it is illegal to sell or mass-produce any pictures or video shot at The Bearcats Sports Complex without the expressed written permission of the Binghamton University Athletic Department.

Concessions are available at the north end of the Bearcats Sports Complex. Sodexo Campus Services is the exclusive food service provider to Binghamton University.

Fans using foul or abusive language or appearing to be in an intoxicated state will be ejected from the premises in addition to any other penalty provided by law. Fans are not permitted on the playing surface at anytime. Fans who enter the playing field or obstruct play at any time will be ejected and are subject to arrest.

Fans are asked to report any emergencies or first aid needs to the Event Staff or to the Press Box.

Gates Open
Ticketed fans may begin to enter the Bearcats Sports Complex one-hour prior to the scheduled start of the game unless previously announced otherwise.

Children under 2 years of age are admitted free of charge without a carriage, stroller, car seat, etc. . . .and must be held on lap of responsible adult.

Handicap Seating
The Bearcats Sports Complex bleachers are equipped with handicap seats located on the lower level of the stands.

Message Board and Announcements
Individual/promotional announcements, (birthdays, events, etc.) are not made over the public address system. Group recognitions will be made by the Public Address Announcer for all groups purchasing tickets in advance through the group sales office (607) 777-3741.

Noisemakers are not allowed at Binghamton University varsity athletics events hosted at the complex.

Out of Bounds Balls
all Balls that are kicked or thrown into the stands, either pre-game or during the game, should be returned to a game official or Event Staff person on the field. They may not be kept as souvenirs.

Parking is made available at no charge in Lots F & G for individuals attending BU athletic events at the Bearcats Sports Complex.

Pets and animals are not allowed in the Bearcats Sports Complex. An exception is made regarding certified service animals for guests with disabilities.

Rain Checks
Rain checks in the event the game is postponed due to inclement weather or any other circumstance, fans can use their ticket stub for admittance to the rescheduled game by exchanging the stub at the Events Center Box Office. There are no case refunds.

Rest Rooms
Rest room facilities are available at the concession stand located at the north end of the Bearcats Sports Complex. Additional restrooms will be made available at either the Events Center or West Gym during scheduled competitions. All restrooms are handicap accessible.

Smoke-Free Policy
Smoking is prohibited at the Bearcats Sports Complex. If you must smoke, please do so in the parking lot areas or otherwise outside the gated complex.

Tailgating is permissible in parking Lot G (behind the West Gym). Please consult Official Fan Guide for specific guidelines for tailgating on campus. Visit:
